Pospisil opens 2023 season in New Mexico for Wild West Shootout

Tad Pospisil made the trek to Vado Speedway Park (Vado, N.M.) on Saturday afternoon to kick off his 2023 season with the Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout.

With a stout field of 48 Late Models on the grounds for the 17th edition of the six-race event, Pospisil followed up a fifth-place finish in his heat with the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his B-Main. With $10,000 on the line in the feature, Tad was an early retiree from the 40-lap affair on lap 23.

For another $10,000-to-win A-Main on Sunday, Tad’s second-place finish in his heat race placed him on the fourth row for the feature. Fading outside the top-10 in the 40-lapper, Pospisil crossed the line in 17th.
